Writer & Scholar, specialising in the history, theory, criticism, and analysis of Literature, Film, and Art - with a passion for the Victorian, Edwardian, and Interwar periods.
As a writer, I write study guides for literary, film, and fine art works, as well as essays for academic, literary, film, and fine art journals.
As a scholar, I am undertaking research for a Doctor of Philosophy in English Literature. Further to my thesis, my independent research and writing interests include Women Writers, Ghost Stories, Detective Fiction, and the symbiotic relationship between Literature, Film, and Art. I am particularly interested in the period from the early nineteenth to the early twentieth century.
I am also a published short story writer of literary fiction, drama, detective fiction, and ghost stories.
When I'm not writing, I love to read, relax with my beautiful cats Gypsy Willow and Poppy Rose, dabble in painting with oils and acrylics, collect all things vintage (my home resembles a museum!), and listen to jazz.
