ABOUT ME

Writer & Literary Scholar, specialising in the history, theory, criticism and analysis of Literature, Film and Art - with a passion for the Victorian, Interwar and Bloomsbury periods.

I write essays and reviews for academic, literary, film and art journals, magazines, websites and blogs. I also write academic study guides and summaries for literary works and textbooks up to postgraduate level.

My studies include a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Visual Arts, a Master of Arts in Film Studies and a Master of Arts in Magazine Journalism. I have also attained newspaper and magazine journalism awards from the National Council for the Training of Journalists.

I am currently undertaking research for a Doctor of Philosophy in English Literature. Further to my area of study, my research and writing interests extend out to the Victorian era, Interwar years, Bloomsbury period, and the endlessly fascinating - and symbiotic - relationship between literature, film and art.

I left school with 12 O' Levels (7 A's, 3 B's, 2 C's) and 4 A’ Levels (BBBC) - including English Literature and Film Studies certificates in both.

When I'm not working I love to read, relax with my beautiful cats Gypsy and Poppy, dabble in painting with oils and acrylics, collect all things vintage (my home resembles a museum!) and listen to jazz.
